I guess this one has no solution
coz if n = (10x + 6)
then s(n) = 10*6 + x = 4(n) = 4(10x + 6)
x = 36/39 = 12/13 not possible should be integer . same for 2 digit no ,3digit no and 4 digit number . I m not getting integer .

Please note that last digit is given as 6.
Multiply it by 4 , we get 24.
It means digit at unit place for new number ( after placing unit digit at front place of original number ) is 4 and hence 4 will be at tens place of original number.
Multiply 4 with 4 , we get 16 and add 2 ( carry from first product) to get 18. So 8 is next digit.
Repeat this process till we get 6 in final number (product).

out of 1044 candles we can make 1044/9 i.e. 116 candles.
then out of 116 candles we can make 116/9 i.e 12 candles and 8 stubs left.
now out of 12 candles we can have 12 stubs and 8 above stubs so out of 20 stubs we can make 20/9 i.e. 2 candles. and 2 stubs remaining.
at last we have 2 stubs of above candle and remaining 2 stubs i.e 4 stubs .which cant make a candle.
So total candles=116+12+2=130.

Fresh Fruit has (100-68)% = 32% of pulp
Dry fruit has (100-20)% = 80% of pulp

Mass of dry fruit = (Pulp percentage in 100 kg of fresh fruit)/(Pulp percentage in dry fruit)

Let me answer this question first in a conventional way.
Sum of all the numbers = 6*20 = 120
Sum after remaining one number = 5*15 =75
So the number to be removed is 120-75 = 45

Another approach is
After removing one number the average is reduced by 5
And also we are removing one number.
So the number is (Updated average)-(Change in average)*(Number of terms)= 15-(-5)*6 = 45.
