hi prerna
can you tell how to solve remainder question like
(3^90 + 5^90)/34
Reply Like? Yes (2) | No (1)
Masood Ahmad   11 years ago
(3^3)30+(5^3)30/34
Now 27/34= -7 & 125/34= -1
=> (-7)^30+(-1)^30
=>(-7^2)15+1
=>49^15/34
=15^15..... 49/34=15 rem
(15^3)5/34
(15^3)/34=9 rem
(9^5)/34. =-9 rem
=>-9+1
=8 rem

with the help break trapezium into right triangle and rectangle
apply Pythagoras to triangle
we get
root(8^2 - 2^2)
which gives

At 8:00 a.m. the bus started at 18mph, that means it will cover 27 miles in 1hr 30 mins that is by 9:30 a.m. Then after staying for 30 mins it started to return at 10 a.m. This time its speed is increased by 50%, i.e. 27mph (18+9), thus it will cover the return journey of 27 miles in 1 hour, 11:00 a.m.
Thus, the answer is (c). 11:00 a.m.

b) 72 minutes

Maths questions=50, Others questions=150
If time spent(in minutes) on other question=x, then time spent on Maths question=2x
Here, (50*2x)+(150*x)= 180, On solving x=18/25
So total time spent on Maths questions=50*2*18/25= 72 min.

so x = 17, from given data
when 50 is added to series
we have two medians both x and y , so its d avg of them
(x+y)/2 =19

let there were x men originally.
then x men can do the work in 10 days.
so 1 man can do the work in 10x days.
again
(x-10) men can do the work in 20 days .
so 1 man can do the work in (x-10)*20 days.
=>10x =(x-10)*20 =>x=20 .so 20 men were originally.

From a box containing 3 white chips, 7 blue chips and 15 green chips, 2 chips are drawn at random. What is the probability that one is of the chips is blue and the other is white?
a. 7/625 b. 7/50 c. 7/100 d. 21/625
Reply Like? Yes | No
PAWAN KUMAR   11 years ago
no of ways to select a whiteball out of 3 whiteballs = 3
no of ways to select a blueball out of 7 blueballs = 7
no of ways to select 2 balls out of (15+7+3) i.e, 25 balls = 25c2 = 25*24/2 = 300

therefore, total no of ways = 3*7/300 = 7/100 Ans.

let the chances of winning C be x.
