solve ln(e(e(e(.........)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2 ?
Reply Like? Yes | No
Deepak prajapati   11 years ago
let,
y=ln(e(e(e(.........)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2
then
taking anti log both side
e^y=(e(e(e(.........)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2
here we see that
e^y=(e.e^y)^1/2
squaring both side
e^2y=e^(y+1)
taking ln both side,we get
2*y=y+1
so,y=1
so value of ln(e(e(e(.........)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2)^1/2=y=1 ans.

A and B working separately can do a piece of work in 9 and 12 days respectively.If they work for a day alternately, with A beginning , in how many days, the work will be completed?
a: 41/4 days

c:83/9 days
d: none of these

abhishek narayan   11 years ago
together they can do the job in 1/D = 1/9 + 1/12 = 7/36
Therefore D=36/7 days
fraction of work completed by them for 5 days each (i.e.,10 days of both together)=(7*5)/36=35/36.
after both done the job for 5 days each work remaining = 1 - (35/36) = 1/36
now the remaining work will be completed by A in = 9*(1/36)=1/4.
Thus, total days = 10 + (1/4) = 41/4.

To do a piece of work,B takes 3 times as long as A and C together, and C takes twice as long as A and B together .If the three together can complete the work in 10 days , how long would A take by himself ? with explanation
Reply Like? Yes | No
abhishek narayan   11 years ago
Let the time to complete the job by A,B and C is a,b and c each respectively.
Given, b=3*{ac/(a+c)}
and c=2*{ab/(a+b)}
eliminating c, we have 5a=3b.
c=4/5a.
also 1/a + 1/b + 1/c= 1/10.
1/a + 3/5a + 4/5a= 1/10.
Hence, a= 24 days.

assume 100 units of work, so together they work @ 10 units/day
let A, B, C work @ a,b,c units /day
(a+c) = 3b ....... (i)
(a+b) = 2c ....... (ii)
a+b+c = 10 ..... (iii)

solving the system , we get
a = 25/6, b = 5/2, c = 10/3
----------------------------------------
A will take 100/(25/6) = 24 days
B will take 100/(5/2) = 40 days
C will take 100/(10/3) = 30 days

according to question,
1 day work of A,B & C=
A+B+C= 1/10 -(i)
A+C=3B -(ii)
A+B=2C -(iii)
on solving equation (i)&(ii),
we get B=40 days
on solving equation (i)&(iii),
we get C= 30 days
put the value of B & C one day work in equation (i),
A=1/10-1/40-1/30=(12-3-4)/120=5/120=1/24 part of work in one day,
so, to complete the work required day for A = 24 days.

B:A+C = 1:3 and C: A:+B = 1:2 that is the efficiency ratio which is inverse of time time taken.
B:A+C can also be written as B/A+C = 1/3
similarly C/A+B =1/2
now adding 1 both sides in both the equations we get
1+B/A+C =1/3 +1 or A+B+C/A+C=4/3 ------1

similarly 1+C/A+B =1/2 +1 or A+B+C/A+B=3/2 ---------2
multiply equation first with 3 and equation 2 with 4 we get
A+B+C=12 & A+C =9
A+B+C=12& A+B=8
means together they are making 12 unit per day and in 10 days they will make 120 units from above we can find B=3 and C=4 and A=5 together they are making 12 units per day
so time taken by A = 120/5 =24 days

21 Rs.

If each man, woman & boy has m, w & b Rs. respectively, then
7m+ 11w + 5b= 78 -----(i)
Given, w=3b & w=m+b
Substituting, w=3b in (i), 7m+38b= 78 ----(ii) &
w=m+b in (i), 18m+16b =78 ----(iii)
On solving, (i), (ii) & (iii), m=3, w=4.5, b=1.5
So Total share of a men=7*3= 21 Rs.

TIME IS SAME..SO EQUATING WITH TIME.
D-36/C=D-24/B=D/A
Second case
runner B finishes 16 m ahead of runner C.
D/B=D-16/C
Solve both the equation and u will get

a class has 2 sections. which contain 20 and 30 students the pass percentage of this sections are 80% and 60% then total pass percentage of class
Reply Like? Yes | No
Yogeshkumar   11 years ago
Ans is 68%.since 80% of 20 students is 16. 60%of 30students is 18.so total pass students is 16+18=34.Total pass percentage =34/50*100=68.

if the employer reduces the number of employees in the ratio 11:9 and increases the wages of the remaining employees in the ratio 13:15 then which of the following statement is true
1 the wage bill of the employer increases
2 the wage bill of the employer decreases
3 the wage bill of the employer remains the same
4 indeterminate
Reply Like? Yes (1) | No
Devendra Marghade   11 years ago
2. the wage bill of the employer decreases
If initial wage bill = 11x* 13y=143xy
New wage bill= 9x*15y= 135xy
So there is decrease in wage bill.

Consider the graph G0 with 3 components which are triangles. G0 has 9 vertices labeled
A to I and 9 edges (A, B), (B, C) … as shown below.
If each vertex of G0 is assigned a red or a green color, then we say that an edge
is colored if its ends have different colors.
Ajai and Rekha color the vertices of G0 in the following manner. Ajai proposes a
color (red or green) and Rekha chooses the vertex to apply this color. After 9 turns,
all the vertices of G0 are colored and the number of colored edges is counted.
Suppose Ajai would like to maximize the number of colored edges while Rekha would
like to minimize the number of colored edges. Assuming optimal play from both
players, how many edges will be colored? Explain your reasoning

pls guys help me by providing its solution
